E-commerce redesign & launch
Overview
The client had an existing product brand with a dated site and poor visibility in search. They needed a full redesign, a smooth migration to a modern stack, and a clear SEO strategy so new and existing customers could find them.
Challenge
Legacy content and URLs had to be preserved where possible to avoid losing existing rankings. The old platform was rigid and slow; the new site had to be fast, mobile-first, and easy for the client to update (product copy, imagery, and basic pages) without developer help.
Approach
We ran a discovery phase to map existing URLs, top-performing pages, and key conversion paths. The new design prioritized product clarity and checkout flow, with structured data and semantic markup built in from the start. We set up redirects, moved content in stages, and launched with a focused set of target keywords and ongoing monitoring.
Results
- Faster load times and better Core Web Vitals across key pages.
- Preserved or improved rankings for priority terms post-migration.
- Higher conversion on product and category pages thanks to clearer layout and fewer steps to purchase.
Tech
Static-friendly e-commerce setup with a headless CMS for content, modern CSS, and minimal JS. Hosting and deployment tuned for speed and reliability.
